A new year and a new teaser just to let you all know that I’m still here, still working, and still very much in love with this incredible story.
Although the Kickstarter fundraising has finished, your continued donations via PayPal are very much appreciated! |
Thanks Christopher,
Happy New Year. I hope it’s a productive and fulfilling one for you.
So good to see that you’re still working on this. I love how with that final, subtle lowering of the head you’ve managed to capture just how cool, threatening and mighty a cat thinks it is, just before it falls off a countertop, or the bird it’s stalking turns on it and chases it off.
D
That’s so exactly right, David (I can tell immediately that you have/have had feline friends in your life). I hope you have a fantastic New Year as well!
Thanks for “peep”, Christopher. I confess the trailer made my hear leap with anticipation. “Oh boy, oh boy!” But carry on as you can and must. Best wishes to you.
I know Kathy, that wasn’t meant to unfairly get your hopes up; I really wanted to share a glimpse of some of the finished shots that convey the feel and tone. Best wishes right back at you!
Thanks for checking in, Christopher. The Price is such a beautiful project, and I’m more excited about it even than I was in the beginning. All possible success to you and The Price.
That is exactly what attracted me to this story in the first place, Bridget: its unique combination of beauty and dread. Also, I’m very glad to hear you’re still excited (me too)!
Gorgeous!
Much appreciated, Lynn!
Oh my.
It looks and sounds like so much more than it ever was ever going to be.
I hope it is x
Great teaser Chris!
Thanks for always lending your support, Sioux (it really does help to keep things cooking)!
Lovely!
Thanks Hugh (how very British of you)! 😉
Ooh, this gave me chills! This looks VERY cool.
Chills are great — thank you Carrie for letting me know!
Thanks Christopher! It’s always lovely when you give us a little taste of how things are going.
Just wanted to say “Happy New Year!” Hope it’s a good and productive one for us all.
(So glad you’re “not dead yet”! LOLOL!!)
Thanks Marcy (although the face I see in the mirror each morning is definitely presenting evidence to the contrary); Happy New Year to you as well!
Always so happy to see your updates! It looks incredible, especially loved the way the weeds swayed in the breeze. Thank you and wishing you the best in 2024!
I appreciate that Trina, and wishing you the same — I’m working to make this the best year ever!
Christopher – it is absolutely stunning, exactly as I hoped you would make it to be…. I look forward to more!
Thank you Jill; this whole process has been such a gift for me as each piece comes together.
Not Dead Yet… always a good sign… and possibly a good title for a future short! And as they say, all is fair in love and war and passion projects… keep on Truckin’, friend!
As always Tad, my most sincere thanks for your kind encouragements!
Incredible work! I just came across your project after I found your profile on Vimeo. I had no idea you edited modern major kangaroo haha! I still know most of the lyrics, and even then the animation work was super fun to watch when I was younger.
This was a great surprise to see you working on your own film, and I’m excited to watch more development. The lighting and atmosphere is very striking, and the story seems chilling, best of luck with the rest of production!
Thank you McKenzie! Working on Animal Jam was a lot of fun — I’ve know and worked with many of the team at Wildworks for many years, back when the studio started-up as Beyond Games and we were producing car combat titles! I love this story, and despite this project taking far, far longer than I ever intended, it still holds my heart.
